Azerbaijan is a nascent golf market with only two 18-hole golf courses and very few native golfers.  GGD & Cees van Nieuwenhuizen were commissioned to design a short course and practice facility within an existing horse racing oval that would give new and inexperienced golfers an opportunity to learn and improve while also providing experienced players with a fun and interesting practice facility.  Each hole was to promote a different skill or experience with variety and fun to be the facility's primary characteristics.

Construction was completed in 2015.
